Intimate Point Reyes Elopement

When Katarina mentioned that she and Dalton hadn’t had an opportunity to take professional  photos for their recent Bay Area elopement, I made it my mission to help them create a special moment to celebrate their love in front of the camera. We decided that Point Reyes National Seashore would provide the perfect backdrop for some dreamy, cinematic photography. And from the cliffs to the beaches of this stretch of the Northern California coast, the views were nothing short of breathtaking.

Driving to our meeting spot, it was a clear day and the wildlife was abundant (we drove alongside a coyote, saw some elk, and even came across a snake crossing the road all within the span of about an hour!). Then, at our first destination, we all met up with our amazing videographer and friend Ashish to catch some views of the cliffs and capture some quick intimate shots near the parking lot of Point Reyes Lighthouse before heading over to the beach. 

When we arrived at the beach, I shared with Katarina and Dalton that I really wanted the session to feel like they were running away together, and they absolutely understood the assignment. The sense of freedom and excitement they were evoking was contagious, and it made for such energetic and emotional photography.
